The mission of the College is to provide strong undergraduate
and graduate programs in the field of Human Environmental Sciences, which
include health science, consumer science, human nutrition and hospitality
management, human development and family studies, as well as clothing,
textiles, and interior design. All of our students leave our College
trained to help improve the quality of life of individuals, families
and communities.
For over twenty consecutive years, CHES has experienced enrollment growth
and we are proud to say we are the fastest growing division on campus.
In order for our College to retain and recruit the best and brightest
students, we must keep pace with the increasing financial needs of our
students. Our top priority for the “Our Students. Our Future.” campaign
will be scholarship support. Our goal is to raise a minimum of $1 million
to support the ever-increasing scholarship needs and offer students an
opportunity to learn, think and grow as part of a tight-knit family on
the University of Alabama campus, the College of Human Environmental
Sciences.

"Our College continues to
be the fastest growing division on campus with 23 consecutive years
of enrollment growth. In order to keep up with these exponential
growth trends we must increase scholarship opportunities in order
to continue to attract the best and brightest students to help
them achieve success upon graduation."
